I Will Touch You This Night
 If I could touch you, I would so gently that you would sense the whisper of a Spring breeze.
If I could, I would look deep into your eyes and see the beauty of soul you have created with your intense caring.
If I could, I would hold you 'til I felt the beating of your heart on mine.
If I could feel you, I would allow your touch wherever it wanted to go, and sense the pleasure of your ooh's and aah's.
If I could open the pages of our future I would read the life-long story of the greatest love of all.
If I could do all of these, I would be filled, would be whole, would be serene.
But, I am not with you. At 30,000 feet, I cannot touch you. i cannot look deep into your eyes.
I cannot hold you, nor feel your touch.
The pages of the future are only read one day – one page at a time.
So, these are all the reasons why not being with you are the saddest moments of my life.
But the joy finally comes – like tonight, when I will be with you.
I will touch you, this night, will gaze into your eyes, hold you close, feeling your electric touch.
These are all I can read of the future, for now.
But in an hour or two I will surely do all these things. I will be with you.
And being with you, tonight, is all the future I need.
